Copiague Builders Club Helps Spread Love Of Literacy

The Copiague Middle School Builders Club recently held its annual book drive, collecting a total of 36 cases of books to be donated to The Book Fairies, an organization which sources and redistributes books to under-resourced communities.
Students worked together during their afterschool program to review and sort the donations, organizing them by age levels ranging from early childhood to adult. This hands-on process helped ensure that the books will be distributed to the appropriate readers in the community. The book drive not only promoted literacy but also encouraged Builders Club members to give back and make a positive impact. The initiative highlighted the students’ commitment to service, teamwork and spreading the joy of reading throughout the community.
