Copiague School District has named Omar Garcia as an assistant principal at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School, effective July 1. 

The Copiague Middle School community came together on June 24 to celebrate the accomplishments of its eighth grade students during a special moving-up ceremony.

The 67th annual commencement exercises for the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Class of 2026 were held on June 25 in the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena at Suffolk County Community College

Joined by family, friends, administrators and teachers, fifth grade students celebrated their Class Day ceremonies during the final weeks of June.

Copiague School District celebrated two important milestones in the careers of its dedicated staff members during its annual Retiree and Tenure Ceremony on June 22.
