Deauville Gardens West Elementary School
Our Mission
Deauville Gardens West Elementary School serves approximately 430 students from kindergarten through grade five. Our mission is to nurture a lifelong love of learning while helping students become confident, curious, and compassionate individuals. We foster a safe and supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and express themselves.
Our highly qualified and dedicated staff work collaboratively to support the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. To provide a meaningful and effective education, maximize student growth, and meet the requirements of the New York State Standards, we implement a variety of student-centered programs and approaches. Guided Reading is the foundation of our Balanced Literacy program, embraced to challenge each individual student at their appropriate level and support meaningful literacy growth. In math, students build understanding through hands-on exploration and problem solving. Across all subjects, we promote creativity, critical thinking, and joyful discovery.
We foster a strong home-school connection through engaging assemblies, family events, and meaningful collaboration with the PTA, creating enriching experiences that extend learning and strengthen our school community. Together, we empower every student to reach their full potential and become thoughtful, engaged citizens.
