WGOCHS Meet the Teacher Night - Thursday, September 17, 2026
Dear Parents/Guardians,
You are cordially invited to attend our annual Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The first meeting of the Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School PTSA will take place on this evening as well. The meeting will be held in the auditorium and begins at 6:15 PM. Meet the Teacher Night presentations will begin at 7:00 PM.
On this evening, you will meet your child’s teachers who will present an overview of our school program. This will include class procedures, curriculum, units of study, homework, and assessment practices and procedures for the 2026/2027 school year. The presentations are intended to provide you with an overview of the curriculum and the specific requirements of each of your child’s classes. Teachers will not conduct individual conferences on this evening. You will have the opportunity to schedule a conference with your child’s teachers on November 12th. If you have an immediate concern, please request an appointment to speak privately with your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
Our Meet the Teacher Night will follow a nine period (A-Day) schedule. Below is the schedule for the evening. Your child’s classes, periods, and room numbers are listed your child’s schedule. You can access your child's schedule on the Parent Portal and Student Portal in eSchool. During your child’s lunch period or study hall, the High School Guidance Counselors will be available to answer any of your questions in the lobby.

All presentations will take place at the Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School. For this event, we will not have a virtual option. High school students may accompany their parent/guardian to the event.
