Class Day Ceremonies Celebrate Copiague’s Fifth Graders

Joined by family, friends, administrators and teachers, fifth grade students from Deauville Gardens East, Deauville Gardens West, Great Neck Road and Susan E. Wiley Elementary Schools celebrated their Class Day ceremonies during the final weeks of June.
The special celebrations marked an important milestone as students prepared to complete their elementary school years and begin their next chapter at Copiague Middle School. Fifth grade teachers recognized students for their hard work, dedication, growth and accomplishments throughout their elementary careers.
During each ceremony, principals shared congratulatory remarks and words of encouragement, offering students advice as they transition to the next phase of their academic journey. Students were recognized with awards celebrating academic excellence, achievement and success across various subject areas. Each fifth grader was then called by name as they crossed the stage to the cheers and applause of their loved ones, teachers and school community.
The ceremonies concluded with students joining together one final time as elementary classmates to perform their class song. As they look ahead to middle school, the graduating class is excited to reconnect with friends and begin this next chapter together.
