Going along with the motto “Racing to the Elementary Finish Line,” Copiague School District hosted a combined elementary field day at Copiague Middle School on June 2, bringing together fifth grade students from all four elementary schools for a day of fun, teamwork and connection.

The inaugural event had students come together before making the transition to middle school in September. Throughout the morning, fifth graders participated in a variety of games and activities designed to encourage collaboration, communication and school spirit.

Students enjoyed exercising, competing in friendly challenges and building new friendships with classmates they will soon join at the middle school. The event also helped them become familiar with one another and begin creating a sense of community as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey.

The districtwide field day celebrated Copiague students moving up to the middle school level, marking this important milestone in a fun and interactive way. While their time in elementary school is coming to an end, many new opportunities and experiences await them.
