Students Share Gratitude With Local Heroes For P.S. I Love You Day

In celebration of P.S. I Love You Day on Feb. 13, members of the Copiague Middle School National Junior Honor Society partnered with the Town of Babylon to spread kindness and gratitude to local everyday heroes.
As part of the initiative, students handmade “hero appreciation” cards and paired them with snack packs to show their gratitude for local fire departments. The project was designed to recognize the dedication and service of first responders while promoting kindness, empathy and community involvement among students.
Under the director of advisors Mr. Harvey and Ms. Walker, NJHS members worked collaboratively to design thoughtful cards filled with positive messages and words of thanks. The snack packs included donated items such as granola bars, candy and trail mix, with Mr. White’s Studio in Art class decorating the outside of each bag. Through this meaningful project, students are helping to spread the message of P.S. I Love You Day while showing appreciation for those who serve and protect the community every day.
