Deauville Gardens West Elementary School has been recognized as a 2024-2026 National PTA School of Excellence, one of only 14 schools on Long Island, 24 in New York State and 330 nationwide to earn this prestigious honor.
The National PTA School of Excellence program celebrates schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to family-school partnerships, supporting student success and school improvement. To receive the designation, school PTAs engage families, teachers and administrators in meaningful dialogue, gather community feedback and develop action plans that benefit the entire school community.

According to the National PTA, the School of Excellence designation is awarded to schools that actively strengthen family engagement and foster environments where all students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Through events, volunteer programs, communication initiatives and school collaborations, these schools make family involvement a foundational part of student success.

The designation remains in effect for two years, during which Deauville Gardens West Elementary School and the PTA will continue to collaborate on new initiatives that further enhance family engagement and student achievement.
