Copiague Honors Retirees, Newly Tenured

Copiague School District celebrated its staff members closing out their careers as well as those beginning a new chapter during a retiree and tenure ceremony on June 23.
Gathered in the Copiague Middle School auditorium, the tenure recipients and retirees were joined by administrators, Board of Education members, colleagues, families and friends. Copiague School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen Bannon thanked the retirees for their many years of service and the guidance and support they have provided to students, their families and colleagues. Administrators called each of the retirees to the podium to be celebrated and honored for their many contributions to the school community.
Congratulations and best wishes to the following staff on their retirement: Joseph Chirco, Sheri Droz, Adrienne Mahoney, Lori Markowski, Dawn Masure, Timothy McCarthy, Denise Pecora, Victoria Rogalski, Kirstin Santomassimo and Brian Washington.
Newly tenured teachers and administrators were also celebrated at the ceremony.
