Hats Off To Copiague’s Fifth Graders

Joined by friends, family, Copiague administrators and teachers, the fifth graders from Great Neck Road, Susan E. Wiley, Deauville Gardens East and Deauville Gardens West Elementary Schools celebrated their respective Class Day ceremonies during the last two weeks of June.
As they end their days in elementary school and look ahead to their future at Copiague Middle School, students were commended for their hard work and dedication by their fifth grade teachers. Principals offered congratulatory remarks and shared advice as they move to the next phase of their academic careers.
Students received awards for academic excellence and high achievement in different subject areas. Teachers then called the names of each of the soon-to-be elementary school graduates as they were met with applause and cheers from the audience.
To close out each of the ceremonies, the fifth graders joined together one last time to perform their class song. The students are looking forward to reconnecting with classmates when they enter the middle school in the fall.
