On June 5, the Madrigals from Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School, under the direction of Gina Occhiogrosso, participated in the New York State School Music Association’s Majors Festival at Longwood High School and received a Level 6 Gold with Distinction rating. This prestigious honor is awarded to only about 10 percent of participating ensembles yearly from throughout the state. Congratulations to all!
