Members of the Copiague Middle School Builders Club, under the advisement of teacher Jodie McLaughlin, recently spent an afternoon in the family and consumer sciences room making healthy, homemade dog treats. Using sweet potato and whole wheat flour, the students rolled the dough and used bone-shaped cookie cutters to make the biscuits. All the supplies for the treats were donated by Copiague Middle School teachers. After baking, the treats were wrapped and donated to local rescue organizations and the Babylon Animal Shelter.
