Fifth graders at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School are preparing their move to Copiague Middle School in September by reflecting on their time in elementary school.  Students in Ms. Orlando’s class created paper buckets and circled around the classroom to write their favorite memories on their classmates’ bucket. At the end of the activity, each student had a bucket filled with memories of their year together. In Ms. Benavides, Ms. Reese and Ms. Bacci’s classes, the students created a bubble map featuring their favorite memories, teachers, field trips and other special moments during their time at Deauville Gardens West. Using the memories and bubble map as a guide, they completed a writing assignment.
